Cochin (Kochi)

Kochi is the commercial capital of Kerala and one of the fastest growing cities in India. Kochi is a major port on the west coast of India easily accessible by Land, Sea or Air. Trivandrum

Trivandrum, the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. The famous Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple is a land mark in the city. Other attractions are the Science and Technology Museum providing a panoramic view of the universe with advanced projection technology, Ravi Varma Art Gallery, the Museum and the Zoo. Aakulam in Trivandrum is a tourist spot of great scenic beauty and a picturesque lake. The Veli tourist Village with the beautiful placid lagoon displays the grandeur and splendor of nature at its zenith. Veli also has a vide range of Aqua sports facilities.

Kumarakom-Kollam Alleppey Back waters

Thekkdai/Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary

Periyar is better known for the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve in Thekkady. Situated high in the ranges of the Western Ghats, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the 16 Project Tiger Reserves in India. At the heart of the sanctuary is the picturesque Periyar Lake , a major attraction of the region. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir provides continuous water for the local wildlife. Periyar Wildlife Reserve is one of the few places where you can observe elephants in their natural habitats.

Kovalam

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse. Sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes and catamaran cruising are some of them. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into the night. The beach complex includes a string of budget cottages, Ayurvedic health resorts, convention facilities, shopping zones, swimming pools, Yoga and Ayurvedic massage centres.

Ponmudi

A mere one and a half hour's road journey separates the beaches of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) from the invigorating climate of Ponmudi Hills. The name Ponmudi, a hill station so close to the sea, in Malayalam means golden crown. On the way to Ponmudi, the thick tropical forest greets one at the foot of the Ponmudi hill range. The road passes under a canopy of thickly matted foliage. The forest recedes gradually giving way to neatly clipped tea bushes.

Varkala

Varkala Beach is an ideal location for those looking for a relaxed and quieter holiday. The beach with its brown sand, panoramic landscape and seascapes is a tropical paradise. Today, this beach attracts hundreds of locals, as well as tourists, all year round.

Vayanad

Wayanad, the green paradise is nestled among the mountains of the Western Ghats, forming the border world of the greener part of Kerala. Clean and pristine, enchanting and hypnotizing, this land is filled with history and culture. Located at a distance of 76 km. from the sea shores of Kozhikode, this verdant hill station is full of plantations, forests and wildlife. An idyllic destination for the vacationing and business traveler, Wayanad is a quaint hill District in north western Kerala, in a region of immense beauty and a dazzling variety of wildlife and fauna. The majestic landscape is strewn with lofty ridges, dense tropical forests, spectacular waterfalls and gurgling mountain streams. Numerous trekking trails snake through the forests, with numerous spots ideal for adventure sports.

Thenmala

Located about 72kms from Trivandrum, the State Capital of Kerala, God's Own Country, the southern most State of India. Thenmala is a small village at the foothills of Western Ghats and predominantly a forest area. The famous Shenduruney Wildlife Sanctuary is the most important ecotourism resource of Thenmala Ecotourism. This Wildlife Sanctuary is of about 100 sq. km. and harbours large varieties of flora and fauna. The other attractions in this area are the Elevated Walkway, The Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Nature Trails, Resting Spots, Lotus Pond, etc. The Sculpture Garden, Butterfly Park, musical fountain etc are the other attractions. The nature trail winding through various areas of the zone attracts a large number of nature tourists.

Kanyakumary

Kanyakumari, once referred as the Alexandria of the east is the southern most point of India where the Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean and Bay of Bangal meet. The multi-colored sand, a unique opportunity of watching the Sun set and Moon rise simultaneously on a full moon day, the Vivekananda Memorial built on rock jutting out from the sea about 200 meters offshore etc are some of the main attractions. Some other nearby attractions are the Kumari amman Temple, Vattakittai the circular fort of the 18th century overlooking the sea, Suchindram Temple famous for the musical pillars and Padmanabhapuram Palace where antiques including the armory of the 18th century are displayed.

Udhagamandalam (Ooty)

To feel the touch of nature, Ooty is a right spot for the lover of nature. It is located at a distance of 105 km away from Coimbatore. It sparkles with fresh vegetation and sceneries. It is “queen of all hill station”. The height of the hills in the Nilgiri range varies between 2280 and 2290 meters. It attracts the tourist by its charming flowers, Lofty mountains and dense forest. Acres and acres of tea estates are green feast for the eyes of the tourist. The weather of valley is salubrious. Ooty is a best place to know the culture and tradition of India and tribal people. Botanical gardens, lamb's rock and Dobabetta peak, kalhatty fallskandal, cross shrine, mini garden and rose garden; Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park are some amusing places in Ooty and its surroundings. Ooty lake is a remarkable spot for boating which highly entertains the tourist.

Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal, situated at 2133 meters above sea level, is a beautiful hill station and is one of the most famous tourist spots in south India. If keen on adventure, Kodaikanal is just the place as there are facilities for boating, trekking and long walks in tree covered glades. Kodaikanal with the star shaped lake as its centre of attraction is pleasant in summer and slightly chilly in winter.
